Highlight of the trip!
Loved the tour! London was always a dream location of mine to visit and the Tower of London was one of the highlights of the whole trip. We also loved the informative and entertaining tour by Dan, the Beefeater! He shared a lot of anecdotes that were interesting to hear. We learned so much and were transported a few centuries back for a day - truly unforgettable!
Had a great time & skipped the line
I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting London. There is so much to see in the tower! I especially enjoyed seeing the Crown Jewels and the old armor kings wore. We had a dinner reservation after the tour so we were glad that we found tickets that allowed us to skip the line because that saved us so much time. All in all, a lovely tour.

It was built by William the Conqueror almost a thousand years ago, is a World Heritage Site, and the oldest part of the Tower of London. It had many uses, but initially, it was primarily a fortress used to intimidate disobedient Londoners. The Beefeaters’ name sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
The Yeoman Warders were introduced as guards for the Tower of London back in 1485. In modern times, their duties are mostly twofold - acting as guards and historians at the Tower of London. Historically, however, they were fearsome guards. The Yeoman Warders were not taken for granted.
They were fed a large portion of beef each day. This, combined with their mighty stature, earned them their well-known nickname, the Beefeaters, as early as the 16th century. People who perhaps were not familiar with the Tower of London and its history might have heard the name if they ever encountered the famous London gin. The Beefeater gin got its name from the Yeoman Warders and has been carrying it for quite some time.
